Florida high school football top 10 rankings: Who made poll in 7A to Rural for Week 9?

A chaotic Week 8 has produced three new No. 1 teams in the USA Today Florida Network high school football poll.

Miami Norland claims the top spot in Class 4A after rallying late to beat American Heritage on Friday. The Vikings have beaten two Super 25 teams — Cocoa and American Heritage — the past two weeks. Norland received eight first-place votes to jump ahead of undefeated Jones.

Pensacola Catholic moves up to No. 1 in Class 2A after Newberry stunned Bradford, the previous top-ranked team, in Week 8. The Crusaders are undefeated in Florida this season and have wins against Pace, Pine Forest and Mobile Christian (Alabama).

Chaminade-Madonna, which started the year at No. 1, lost its first two games but has rebounded in spectacular fashion. The Lions overcame several injuries to beat St. Thomas Aquinas 29-22 on Friday. Chaminade received 10 of 11 possible first-place votes.

Venice (Class 7A), Armwood (6A), Lakeland (5A), Miami Central (3A) and Hawthorne (Rural) are the No. 1 teams in their respective classes.
