Pensacola Catholic moves up to No. 1 in Class 2A after Newberry stunned Bradford, the previous top-ranked team, in Week 8. The Crusaders are undefeated in Florida this season and have wins against Pace, Pine Forest and Mobile Christian (Alabama).

Chaminade-Madonna, which started the year at No. 1, lost its first two games but has rebounded in spectacular fashion. The Lions overcame several injuries to beat St. Thomas Aquinas 29-22 on Friday. Chaminade received 10 of 11 possible first-place votes.
Venice (Class 7A), Armwood (6A), Lakeland (5A), Miami Central (3A) and Hawthorne (Rural) are the No. 1 teams in their respective classes.
