Fitness Holdings North America is bulking up in Monmouth County with five new locations. The company, a leading Crunch Fitness franchisee, is acquiring gyms in Marlboro, Ocean Township, Tinton Falls, Freehold and Wall Township from Jersey Strong Gym.
The new locations will be renovated and upgraded with new cutting-edge fitness equipment and modern amenities to heighten member experience. Fitness Holdings will invest $20 million in the new facilities.
According to the company’s LinkedIn page, the acquisition marks a milestone of surpassing 50 Crunch Fitness locations. With 51 gyms in their portfolio, this makes Fitness Holdings both the third largest Crunch franchisee in the country and the largest in the Northeast. Through new construction and acquisitions, the company has doubled in size over the past 18 months. They opened their first club in 2013.

Every Crunch Fitness facility provides a broad range of amenities for fitness enthusiasts of all levels. The equipment available includes several types of cardio machines, free weights, Olympic lifting platforms, hydromassage beds and high-intensity interval training in their trademarked HITTZone.
