Kelsey Heenan is a fitness influencer and trainer. Recently, she got her biological age tested, and shared her experience on Instagram. Heenan captioned a post, “I’m feelin 22…but I’m actually 36 (or am I?) If birthdays make you unhappy to be getting older, let me brighten your day.☀️I did a blood panel with @joiwomenswellness to learn about my Biological Age. Even though I’m 36 years old, my body’s Biological Age is 22.2 according to my bloodwork results.”
Heenan makes sure to eat a healthy diet. One way she does so is by cooking. Heenan shared this recipe for energy bites on Instagram. She captioned the post, “Pumpkin @manukorahoney Protein Energy Bites!🍯🎃💌Save this for later! These are easy, nutritious, and taste like fall. I love using Manukora honey because it helps support immunity, digestion and gives a boost of energy! Try it out through the link in my bio🫶Here’s the recipe: INGREDIENTS * 1 1/2 cup rolled oats * 1/2 cup pumpkin puree * 1/3 cup creamy nut butter of choice * 1/4 cup chocolate chips * 2 tbsp Manukora honey * 2 tbsp chia seeds * 1/3 cup vanilla protein powder * 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice * 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon * pinch of sea salt. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Combine all ingredients and mix in a bowl. 2. Refrigerate the mixture for ~15-20 minutes. 3. Roll into tablespoon sized balls 4. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to a week.”
One exercise that Heenan likes to do is push-ups. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing a push-up challenge. Heenan captioned it, “Try this 20 Push Up Challenge! 💌Share with a friend to try it out together💪 If you want to improve your push ups, practice makes progress!” Heenan is also seen doing push-ups with a shoulder touch in this video.
Heenan shared this set of workout videos on Instagram. In a couple of them, she is seen using bands. Heenan captioned the post, “This joint friendly workout was TOUGH 😤 (I’m using the @kayezenvector but you can also use bands or cables) 😅🏋️♀️Workout 👉 12 reps on each exercise without resting in between. After each full round, take 60-90 seconds of rest then do 4 total rounds! This one is easy on the joints, can be done anywhere, and you’ll be feeling the burn 🔥”
In the previous Instagram link, Heenan is seen doing two different types of lunges. ACE Fitness states that lunges have a lot of benefits. “Lunges work the biggest muscles in your lower body — mainly the quadriceps, gluteus maximus, and the adductor magnus (the muscle in your inner thigh). Other muscles that come into play are the hamstrings, gluteus medius, calves, and core stabilizers, says Susane Pata, content strategist for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and NASM-certified personal trainer based in Miami.”
Heenan does a lot of strength training to keep herself in shape. In the previous blurb’s second Instagram link, she is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights. The Mayo Clinic states that strength training is a great way to lose weight. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories.”
