Star Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is making a mockery of the Aussie players.
The 22-year-old hit Mitchell Starc with a mentally bruising jab after smashing him to the boundary.
Earlier during Australia’s innings, Starc had copped a bouncer from his Kolkata Knight RIders IPL teammate Harshit Rana and clearly wasn’t happy about it.
“I bowl faster than you, Harshit. Harshit, I bowl faster than you. I have a long memory,” Starc could be heard saying from the stump mics.
Probably having heard that exchange, Jaiswal gave Starc some of his own medicine.
The Indian opener hit a shot over square leg that could almost be described as arrogant.
He then played and missed at the next ball before playing a straight-forward defensive back-foot defensive shot.
Starc shook his head in disbelief after the play and miss, which Jaiswal obviously didn’t appreciate.
The young Indian star used the next ball as an opportunity to throw a barb out.
“It’s coming too slow,” Jaiswal said of Starc’s bowling, which had just come down at 142.8km/h, no less.
Starc could do nothing but smile and walk back to his mark.
