First Michigan Sports Writers boys high school basketball rankings released

The first batch of Michigan boys basketball rankings from the Michigan Sports Writers dropped Tuesday night in the state with a host of program still clinging to undefeated records just inside the new year.

Below are the top 10 teams in each division, with records as of Tuesday morning and voting points. Totals are based on 15 points for a first-place vote,14 for second, etc. First place votes are also in parentheses.

A number of big matchups took place Tuesday and more are ahead this week, so expect some shakeup and a thinned out honorable mention next week.
