First Look: See likely turf fields at Churchill Downs, Aqueduct
It’s hard to follow the Breeders’ Cup, but graded stakes are on tap this weekend at three tracks.
Here are the likely fields for stakes at Churchill Downs and Aqueduct. Woodbine also hosts three graded stakes, but probables were not available.
Friday
Pebbles (G3), Aqueduct, 1 mile (turf), 3-year-old fillies
Jody’s Pride makes her first start since finishing seventh in the Ashland (G1) in April. Second in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies, she won her only other start this year, the Busher Stakes, and will try turf for the first time. Oversubscribed had two wins and two seconds before finishing sixth last out in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (G1). No Mo Candy was second in her debut and has won two straight since.

Emmanuel will make his third start for Mike Maker after being moved from Todd Pletcher’s barn. He opened the year with a win in the Canadian Turf (G3) but has been out of the money in five starts since. Gigante took a break after finishing second in the Muniz Memorial (G2) and returned Oct. 10 with an off-the-board finish in a Keeneland allowance. Hades is 0-for-6 since winning the Holy Bull (G3), but has two seconds and two thirds in his last two starts.
