Michigan football staged a series of coups in both the 2025 recruiting cycle as well as via the transfer portal. Of course, Bryce Underwood flipping from LSU to the Wolverines in late November garners most of the headlines, but Michigan also managed to flip Elijah Dotson from Pitt, Nate Marshall from Auburn, Shamari Earls from Georgia, Ty Haywood from Alabama, and Jordan Young from Clemson to close out the 2025 class.
Though the transfer portal haul hasn’t gotten as much hype, the Wolverines did manage to get running back Justice Haynes to leave Tuscaloosa — where he could have been the No. 1 back next season — in favor of Ann Arbor.
And now, thanks to Beckwith Sports Academy, we have our first look at Haynes working out in maize and blue.
Of course, he’s in workout gear and not football equipment, but his cutting ability and speed certainly are impressive. He just appears to have that ‘it’ factor that you look for in an elite running back. Which, of course, Haynes was originally a five-star recruit coming out of high school.
This video serves to tantalize Michigan fans who will be anxiously awaiting the April 19 spring game and the consequential August 30 season opener, when they’ll get to see Haynes in action with their own eyes.
