BEDFORD, Ohio — Cleveland Metroparks has announced the opening of its first-ever disc golf course at the Bedford Reservation.
The Astorhurst Disc Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 65 course that spans 10,494 total yards and features tee boxes for amateur, professional and competition levels.
The course was constructed in-house by Cleveland Metroparks and takes advantage of the rolling hills, elevation changes and wooded areas of the former Astorhurst Golf Course, which is now a public park.
The course is free to use and open daily during regular park hours, but players must bring their own discs.
Disc golf, also known as frisbee golf, is a sport where players throw a disc at a target, using similar rules to golf. The game has been growing in popularity over the last several years.
