The Maui Fire Department is investigating a report of smoke north of Waiehu Golf Course, according to Maui Emergency Management Agency.
The report came in to emergency dispatchers at 1:44 p.m. Smoke may impact residents in the area.
People are asked to remain vigilant and avoid the area if possible.
Residents with respiratory conditions should move indoors, remain there or leave the area.
For more official information, monitor radio, TV and mobile devices. Prepare yourself and your family to evacuate if notified by County officials.
