MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WXIX) – The Middletown Fire Department is investigating a fire that broke out at a strip mall in Kittyhawk Plaza.
According to Middletown Fire Department Assitant Fire Chief, Steve Ludwig, crews responded to a possible fire at 4484 Marie Drive in Middletown around 5:25 p.m. Wednesday.
Upon arrival, Ludwig says, responding crews could see flames from about a block away.
Ludwig reports that there was a fire on the roof when they arrived, but that no civilians or fire firefighters were injured in the fire.
Battling flames in the snow, Ludwig says fire crews were able to get the flames out before winds started to pick up.
Ludwig says a cause has not yet been determined and that fire marshalls are at the scene investigating
