On behalf of the Cleveland Metroparks and the Golf Staff, we would like to thank everyone who participated in the Cleveland Metroparks Tournament Series this year.
The 2024 series listed 13 events on the schedule, but due to one weather cancelation, 12 events were completed. In addition to the traditional Course Championships, a revamped Match Play at Shawnee Hills was a success, along with the introduction of the Ironwood Ironman.
The top 10 in each of the events completed were awarded points. The largest number of points was distributed at the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship, followed by the Course Championships. Individual and team events also earned a portion of the points distributed throughout the year.
A strong year by Lucas Liberatore earned him points in 6 events, including a win at the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship held in August at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. Lucas was 59 points clear of his nearest competitor.
Andrew Malkus, David Swab, and Colin Burns rounded out the other top finishers with a strong showing in multiple Course Championships.
Participants in the top 10 who earned 70 points or greater will receive a Cleveland Metroparks Gift Card for their efforts.
Thank you once again for all the golfers that participated and supported the Cleveland Metroparks. We look forward to seeing everyone once again in 2025.
