Philadelphia, Penn. — Federal Realty Investment Trust has broken ground on the next phase of redevelopment at Andorra Shopping Center located in northeast Philadelphia. Construction of the property, which began in February 2025, will include a 50,000-square-foot GIANT grocery store and the repositioning of 30,000 square feet of retail space. Additionally, the $30 million redevelopment will feature approximately 14,000 square feet of landscaped plazas and outdoor dining spaces, as well as a 10,000-square-foot KinderCare childcare facility. Andorra Shopping Center is currently home to several retailers including T.J. Maxx, Five Below and Kohl’s.
Amenities at the property will include curbside pick-up parking spaces, expanded sidewalks, improved walkability and a reconfiguration of the north-end parking lot to create an internal pathway to the main shopping center.
The redevelopment is scheduled for completion in 2025, with new stores opening by spring 2026.
