With all the movement in the NFL, there are major fantasy football implications.
Here’s what the trade means for both the Bills and Browns.
The Bills have their new WR1 in Cooper, a five-time Pro Bowler who most recently received the honor in 2023. Cooper gives Josh Allen and the Bills a true WR1, and he should make an instant impact on the team as soon as he suits up.
Cooper gets a massive boost in fantasy leagues after struggling with a bad Browns team for the first six weeks of the season. Cooper joins the Bills with 24 catches for 250 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
As for the rest of the Bills, Khalil Shakir — the team’s top wide receiver this year — isn’t too impacted by the deal. He should still see plenty of targets and should have even more space to work with as Cooper gets a majority of the focus from opposing defenses.
Rookie wideout Keon Coleman and veteran Curtis Samuel are both now non-startable in fantasy leagues. However, neither were great options this season, anyway.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid, like Shakir, should see more space.

As for the Browns, this opens up plenty of action for the team’s wide receivers. Both Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore receive major boosts in fantasy football, as they are now the top two receivers on the team.
Jeudy has 20 receptions for 248 yards and one touchdown on the season. Moore has 16 receptions for 95 yards on the year.
Without Cooper, who had 53 targets this season, there will be plenty of opportunities for both receivers. They should both be added to all fantasy leagues.
As for the rest of the Browns’ weapons, tight end David Njoku remains a great option at his position.
