Sports Seriously
This late in the season, it’s odd to see so many NFL teams changing quarterbacks. But whether it’s an injury (Dak Prescott), a team needing a spark (Anthony Richardson) or a team looking to change directions completely (Daniel Jones), it seems there’s been more than the usual amount of turnover under center lately.
Throw in six teams on bye this week (and six more in Week 14), fantasy managers could be doing some scrambling of their own as the playoffs approach.
Here are some players whose values are trending upward (or downward) as a result of their performances in Week 11:
QB Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers: Coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Greg Roman like a run-heavy offense. But Herbert’s success with his arm has helped open up the attack, and he has found a connection with young WRs Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey.
QB Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts: Head coach Shane Steichen changed course, and he has committed to starting Richardson the rest of the season. Against the Jets, Richardson was actually accurate, completing 20-of-30 passes for 272 yards and a score, while also running for two touchdowns, including the game-winner.
WR Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns: Jeudy caught six passes 142 yards, including a stunning 89-yard touchdown from QB Jameis Winston. It was his first 100-yard game since January 2023 when he was with Denver.
TE Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders: Ertz is having a bit of a renaissance, posting four or more receptions in five of the past six games, while going for 40 or more yards in four of those outings. At age 34, he is once again a solid fantasy option.
TE Hunter Henry, New England Patriots: Henry had six catches for 63 yards on nine targets against the Los Angeles Rams. In the past five games, he has six or more receptions on four occasions, while he has six or more targets in four of the past five, too.
WR Diontae Johnson, Baltimore Ravens: Johnson was blanked on two targets against his original team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Johnson might be thinking things were finer back in Carolina, where he was the alpha dog. In Baltimore, he has four targets and one catch for 6 yards in three games.
RB Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins: Mostert was tied for the most total touchdowns last season with 21, including 18 rushing scores. This season, he’s an afterthought in the Miami offense. He bottomed out in Week 11, running three times for minus-2 yards with no targets in the passing game.
WR Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers: The rookie racked up four receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown in Week 10, but with Jauan Jennings at full health and Deebo Samuel looking good, Pearsall was targeted just twice on Sunday, posting zero catches.
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kansas City Chiefs: Smith-Schuster looked like he could reemerge as a valuable fantasy option in Kansas City … until the team traded for DeAndre Hopkins. Now, JuJu is behind Hopkins and Xavier Worthy, and he is fighting for scraps with Mecole Hardman.
TE Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers: Kraft was on fire last month until he suffered a groin injury, and it’s uncertain if that is still bothering him. He has managed just 34 receiving yards and seven targets in the past two games, and he was blanked in Week 11.
