The local Pencie & Ginger boutique has a couple of special events coming up in February.

Community members are invited to stop by the shop at 1725 Main St., Escalon, this coming Saturday for a celebration of the new Main Street location. It will also mark the first anniversary of new ownership for the local boutique, now under the management of Natercia Widmer. Hours for the open house celebration are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 1. There will be some “sweet sales, sips, snacks” and some giveaway items for visitors as well.

Later in the month, it will be a special men’s shopping hour. The ‘Man Up & Shop’ event is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 13 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Organizers said this will be a special time for the men in the community to shop for that unique gift for Valentine’s Day, while having the opportunity to sip some brews while they browse.

It’s an “exclusive Valentine’s shopping hour,” organizers added, with beer and great gifts.

Pencie & Ginger features women’s clothing, accessories, home décor, baby to toddler items for girls and boys, books, candles, jewelry, soaps and more.

The shop is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday; closed Sunday and Monday.
