Mifflin County rallied from nine down in the second half to defeat Mifflinburg 51-50 at the Wildcat Winter Classic on Saturday.
With the Wildcats leading 50-48 with 6.6 seconds remaining, junior guard Evan Strohecker received an inbound pass, and hit the biggest shot of the season for the Huskies, drilling a game-winning corner 3 to give the Huskies the win.
The Huskies were led in scoring by sophomore guard Jack Curry who had 18. Sophomore Luke Bender added nine and senior Aidan Attivo added eight. Attivo was selected to the all-tournament team, with Curry walking away with Tournament MVP.
Mifflin County is 3-0 for the second straight year, and are back in action on Wednesday for their home opener, as they battle Milton Hershey to open conference play.
