A subtle serve, a daring dash, and a seismic shift in style! Eugenie Bouchard’s style statements have been trendsetters for a long time. But something more is brewing in the tennis world that has kept us scratching our heads and giggling uncontrollably. The man behind the reason is Sam Querrey, a former American tennis player who couldn’t resist teasing fans with the possibility of replicating Bouchard’s fashionable outfit! But the Canadian player’s immediate response has saved the day.
The former finalist at Wimbledon (2014), Eugenie Bouchard, took to her Instagram and shared her bold look in a post, wearing a white crop top and matching lingerie. The 30-year-old player is ready for action as she holds a racquet in hand, with a cap on her head, all set up for a match on the tennis court, captioning it “extra ball on your serve?”
Her unconventional tennis attire became an instant hit! However, when it reached her peer, Sam Querrey, a former American tennis player, and Bouchard’s friend, he thought of something innovative. The 36-year-old further took to his Instagram story holding a lingerie similar to Bouchard’s and started a poll with the question, “Should I?” with two options, “Yes of course,” or “Please don’t.”

The ten ATP singles title winner also added Bouchard’s post for reference! But Bouchard was quick to shut down the idea, urging Querrey to spare the world from his potential fashion disaster, and replied to the story, saying, “Oh god…pls no…“
Although Bouchard prevented it this time, a few weeks ago, the scenario was different. When Bouchard shared a series of outdoor photo sessions on her Instagram, wearing a gold-chained green string bikini while taking a shower in her yard, with the caption “Sundays are for yard work,” Querrey couldn’t help but recreate the same.
After commenting, “I was actually thinking of doing a similar photo montage later this week,” he didn’t back away but put up a similar pose in the shower, in a green swimsuit! “How’d I do?” he asked Bouchard in the caption. The Canadian took the whole thing in stride and humorously added, “Let’s do a joint photo shoot next time.”

The pickleball player has always embraced her fashion endeavors alongside tennis. However, the road to showcasing her talent in that field has frequently been bumpy. Nevertheless, her approach to the scenario was as clear as day, as she once revealed herself.
In the 20th June podcast episode of Tennis Channel Live Podcast, Eugenie Bouchard, compared the change in people’s outlook on involvement of players in the fashion world. “Back in the day, it was very focused on only tennis and doing anything off the court was seen as negative. Nowadays, it’s actually the complete reversal where people are like, if you are not doing more than just tennis what are you doing? Where is your charity, and where is your makeup line? So I am happy that the world has come to this but I wish I didn’t get so much hate back in the day,” she said.

While she once expressed her discontent and the criticism she faced for posting “bikini pictures,” Bouchard later took on a new approach to the whole matter. “I mean, why stop myself?” Her love for putting on bold and stylish outfits has taken social media by storm, where she frequently posts pictures with a dazzling look.
Furthermore, the Canadian, who admires Anna Kournikova for her trendy looks, does not want to stop her intrigue in fashion. However, a touch of humor from Sam Querrey now and then can also lighten up our mood as we see Eugenie Bouchard’s fancy looks on Instagram.
