Emma Raducanu security ramped up by ex-US Secret Service agent
Emma Raducanu will be given extra security overseen by a former US Secret Service agent should she decide to compete in next week’s Indian Wells Open.
The 22-year-old Briton remains in the United Kingdom after she was the target of “fixated behaviour” from a man during the Dubai Championships last week. He was subsequently detained by police in the United Arab Emirates and given a restraining order.
Raducanu is next due to compete at a WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, which begins a week on Wednesday. The prestigious event in the Californian desert is considered tennis’s unofficial fifth grand slam and a source close to her team has indicated her participation is likely as she is eager to move on from the recent harrowing
