It’s quite common for players to pair up together before tournaments or even during the tournament to practice, but it’s not everyday that you see top players link with a Tournament Director to get ready for competition.
But Tennis Paradise is unique, as the BNP Paribas Open’s very own Tournament Director and former World No. 2 Tommy Haas stepped in to have a hit with 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu as the Brit prepares to make a fifth career appearance in the desert.
Haas and Raducanu enjoyed a hitting session on Stadium 2 as players from around the world begin to arrive in Indian Wells to gear up for this year’s action.
The Raducanu-Haas practice pairing shows that you truly never know which two players you might find on the court together in Tennis Paradise.
