Emburse has introduced an enterprise-grade online tool for booking flights, rail, hotels and ground transportation.
The new Emburse Book will integrate with the company’s Emburse Expense, Tripbam and Emburse Go travel and expense (T&E) solutions for mid-market, enterprise and multinational corporations, the company said in a Monday (July 22) press release.
“We’ve heard loud and clear that this size of organization needs to future-proof their entire T&E technology suite,” Marne Martin, CEO at Emburse, said in the release. “We are excited to respond to that need with Emburse Book and our next-generation expense and travel management solutions.”
With the integration of Emburse Book, fully itemized travel itineraries will flow into a user’s Emburse expense and trip management solutions, according to the release.
The integration aims to streamline the expense process for both the business travel and the finance team and ensure data integrity and compliance, the release said.
Emburse also said Monday that it will reimagine its expense management solution for midsize to large corporations, Emburse Chrome River Expense, to include more automation and artificial intelligence (AI), missing expense suggestions, next-generation optical character recognition (OCR) and automated expense item creation, and a business rules engine that will automatically categorize expenses, per the release.
The company also said it will bring the Tripbam solutions that it acquired in July 2023 under the Emburse brand, with Tripbam’s travel reshopping solution now being called Emburse Reshop and its auditing and benchmarking solutions being named Emburse Audit and Emburse Benchmark, according to the release.
“Emburse is recognized as the innovation leader in corporate expense and post-booking travel management solutions,” Martin said in the release. “Delivering this same level of innovation throughout the entire business travel lifecycle will help organizations to break free from the frustration of their current travel and expense management process.”
Companies are seeking innovative solutions to gain insight into employee spend and ensure compliance with policies, Emburse Chief Financial Officer Adriana Carpenter told PYMNTS in an interview posted in August 2023.
“You have to leverage technology,” Carpenter said. “That’s why technology exists today, and it’s not just a SaaS [Software-as-a-Service] technology. There are so many different types of technology that you want to leverage in order to streamline financial processes and gain real-time visibility into employee spend.”
