LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) -The Elgin Owls have dominated sports this year, and Elgin Dental Care wants to keep it that way.
The Business recently donated a new defibrillator to the Elgin athletic programs.
Head football Coach Chalmer Wyatt was very appreciative of the donation. He stated, ” I think it’s a great deal to have something like that on-site here at the field house at the stadium. If any situation arises, then we’re prepared to take care of our kids in any situation.”
John Phillips, the owner of Elgin Dental Care said “The kids are our future and we should invest in our communities more if we can.”
Dr. Phillips said that after opening a dental practice in Elgin, he reached out to Elgin Public Schools to see how he could help and was told that they needed an AED for their sports facility.
Coach Wyatt and Dr. Phillips both stated that they hope the team or any sports program has to use it but believe it’s a great investment for safety measures.
