EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Border Youth Athletic Association is putting together a golf tournament for August.
The tournament will be held Saturday, August 24, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Painted Dunes Desert Golf Course, located at 12000 McCombs Street in northeast El Paso.
The entry fee per player is $150.
According to organizers, there will be lunch, beverages, a putting contest, and a raffle with prizes such as a grill, a cooler, a signed Dallas football, and a Jewelry piece from Kendra Scott worth $100, among other things.

KFOX14/CBS4 spoke with the El Paso Border Youth Athletic Association who said the purpose of the event is to support youth athletics and education in the borderland.
Development Director Jolene Keipp said,
We are very passionate about making sure that our young student-athletes recognize their potential.
The golf tournament will be also dedicated to the memory of Matt Keats, president and co-owner of Keats Southwest.
