GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – ECU Men’s Basketball has added six new players, four coming from the transfer portal and two from JUCO. With a new cast in this new era of major college athletics, team chemistry is always a challenge.
One remedy for that issue might be the trip Michael Schwartz and his new roster took to The Bahamas this off-season.
“[In] kinda the climate of college basketball, so many new players and teams, that a trip like that you’re very thankful for because of the time together,” the 3rd year head coach said.
After a 15-18 season last year, Schwartz also sees this new team getting tougher.
“I heard someone say this that basketball is a contact sport and football is a collision sport… but with this team, we have a few of those in practice as well, and that’s a good thing we want this to be a physical team.”
