EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A local YMCA is looking to break down barriers and make sure everyone feels comfortable at the gym. And they’re doing it with the help of new technology.
EGYM uses AI to design personalized full-body workouts.
These specialized machines act like a fitness coach to support your gym goals, whether that’s muscle building or weight loss.
An EGYM specialist says it’s perfect for those who are just starting their fitness journey or for people who are looking for a quick workout.
“You’re in and out within an hour and you’ve thought about nothing. You don’t have to worry about how reps you’re doing, how much weight you’re pushing, the tempo, how much rest time, it’s all done for you,” said Jonah Berman, the customer training manager for EGYM.
EGYM is currently available at the Eau Claire south YMCA but all members of the Chippewa Valley YMCA are free to use the EGYM equipment at that facility.
