DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central men’s golf team will compete in the two-day Arcis HBCU Championship in Weston, Fla., starting Sunday.
The Division I field includes Southern, Chicago State, Alabama A&M, Florida A&M and Alabama State. The tournament will be held at The Club at Weston Hills.
The Eagles are led by sophomore Jamal Hutchison, named Northeast Conference co-men’s golfer of the week on Wednesday. Hutchinson shot a two-day, two-under par 142 at the Savannah Intercollegiate last weekend. His score included a two-under par 70 in the second round. The third round was canceled due to rainy conditions.
Joining Hutchison in Florida are teammates Hershal Patel, Kyle Gregory, Kobe Narcisse and Clay Green.
