The Philadelphia Eagles trio of quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Saquon Barkley and team owner Jeffrey Lurie spent some time on Tuesday golfing with former President Barack Obama, according to John Clark of NBC Sports.

On Monday, President Obama was at a presidential rally for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in Philadelphia.
Ironically, Hurts said over the summer that one piece of advice Lurie offered him was to avoid the links.
“I was told not to golf by Mr. Lurie—funny story, I’ll tell you another day,” he told reporters in August.

During training camp, Jalen Hurts — who isn’t a golfer normally — said Jeffrey Lurie told him not to play golf. (Said it was a funny story for another day).
From what I understand, Lurie said it because he didn’t want his QB getting hurt.
Anyway, quite the opportunity here. https://t.co/cvhLPeGa4B
Hard to pass up the opportunity to golf with a former Nobel Peace Prize laureate and president, however, especially when he happens to be in town.
As for the Birds, the team is currently on a three-game winning streak after an up-and-down start to the season, most recently beating the Cincinnati Bengals 37-17 in an impressive showing on both sides of the ball.
Barkley, 27, has fit in perfectly with his new team, rushing for 766 yards (second in the NFL) and five touchdowns while adding 17 catches for 106 yards and another score.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Hurts has been fantastic in the three-game winning streak, with nine total touchdowns and no turnovers.
Suddenly, the 5-2 Eagles—who were causing flashbacks to 2023’s meltdown after an inconsistent and choppy 2-2 start this year—are starting to look like one of the top contenders in the NFC.
