Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham told reporters at training camp Wednesday that he will be retiring after the 2024 season, his 15th in the NFL, per Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
The Eagles saw future Pro Football Hall of Fame center Jason Kelce and former All-Pro defensive tackle Fletcher Cox retire after the 2024 campaign and will now lose another respected veteran after this upcoming season. Graham, 36, has spent the entirety of his career with the Eagles, who selected him in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Michigan.
Graham has suited up in 195 games (105 starts), tallying 73.0 sacks, 467 tackles (344 solo), 146 quarterback hits, 21 forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown. One of the more underrated players around the league at his position, Graham finally earned his first Pro Bowl nod in 2020.
He was a key member to Philadelphia’s 2017 Super Bowl winning team and again in 2022 when the Eagles made a run to the Super Bowl but were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs. Graham has continued to excel with age, posting a career-high 11.0 sacks in his age-34 campaign in 2022. Graham is fourth on the Eagles’ all-time sacks list, trailing only Reggie White, Trent Cole and Clyde Simmons.
Now set to play his 15th season, Graham is officially the longest-tenured player in the history of the franchise.
“You definitely want to leave this place better than when you came in,” Graham said in March after deciding to come back for the 2024 season. “I’m just going to be pouring into the guys, trying to get them to realize what they got in front of them, that these opportunities don’t come often when you got a good team, so let’s take full advantage of the moment.”
