The Gloucester High School golf team won its third straight match last Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the Hamptons Golf Course. The Dukes scored a 308 to take the win by 14 strokes over Menchville.
Senior Blake Sibley again won medalist honors by shooting a three-over par 73. Sophomore Fenton Scott placed third overall with a six-over par 76. Freshman Levi Vannoy took fourth place with a seven-over par 77. Junior Joseph Moritz tied for sixth by shooting 12-over par 82. Also competing for the Dukes were sophomores Mahliah Richardson and Brayden Davidson.
Nine schools are competing in the Peninsula District for golf, with Gloucester and Menchville vying for first place.
