Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend continued their stellar partnership by defeating Su-Wei Hsieh and Jelena Ostapenko 7-6(5), 6-4 to claim the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships title on Saturday.

The victory marked their third team title and first at a WTA 1000 event, following Grand Slam triumphs at Wimbledon 2024 and the Australian Open 2025. The final was a rematch of their Melbourne showdown, where Siniakova and Townsend secured a 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-3 win to capture their second major together.

Saturday’s match proved slightly less demanding as the top seeds edged out their experienced opponents in 1 hour and 35 minutes. Siniakova and Townsend were rock-solid under pressure, winning 53 per cent of total points (71/134) and converting 57 per cent (4/7) of break-point chances, while saving 67 per cent (4/6) of their own.

Siniakova, the World No. 1, successfully defended her Dubai title, having won last year alongside Storm Hunter. The win also marked a milestone in her career, as she clinched her 30th doubles title. Townsend, currently ranked World No. 3, secured her ninth career doubles title.

With another statement victory, the Czech-American duo further cements their status as one of the most dominant teams on the WTA circuit.
