Landon Silinsky previews the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches and gives his picks for your DraftKings fantasy golf lineups.
The PGA TOUR begins its annual Florida swing this week with the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches. PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens will be the host course, and measures as a 7,167-yard par 71 with Bermuda grass greens.
We have a pretty deep field this week despite this not being a Signature Event, with the likes of Shane Lowry, Russell Henley, Sungjae Im and Sepp Straka all set to tee it up.
Below, I have outlined three of my favorite DraftKings plays for the week.

There are a few courses on the PGA TOUR circuit that just seem to fit Lowry’s eye better than others, and PGA National might be at the top of that list. The Irishman has never missed a cut here in seven starts, while posting three consecutive top-five finishes over the past three years. That includes a runner-up finish in 2022 where he caught the bad end of a weather delay, which allowed Sepp Straka to take home the trophy.
In addition to his course history, Lowry’s recent form has also been pretty solid, as he’s opened 2025 with a T39 and T2, the latter of which came at Pebble Beach. The 2019 Open champ has basically done all you can do at this event without actually winning it, and considering he hasn’t won a PGA TOUR event since that fateful week at Royal Birkdale five years ago, you know he’s raring to get back in the winner’s circle.
With the rest of the $9,000+ plus range all presenting question marks of their own, Lowry is by far my favorite pay-up option of the week.
Maybe I’m a glutton for punishment, but I am going right back to Kitayama this week after a massively disappointing missed cut last week in Mexico. As per usual, the flat stick was the main issue for Kitayama, as he lost 4.8 strokes on the greens in just two rounds, which was really a shame considering he gained 2.4 strokes ball-striking.
The only good thing about last week is that he now sits at an extremely cheap $8,300, which is far too low consider the names he’s priced around. Kitayama’s history at PGA National is also quite strong, having posted a pair of made cuts, including a solo third-place finish in 2022.
We know he likes playing golf in Florida, as his lone PGA TOUR win came at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill back in 2023, which is a somewhat-but-not-quite-as difficult tee-to-green test as PGA National. Either way, Kitayama remains a smash play this week at his price, and is also a strong outright bet at 40/1 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
It’s simple really, if he rolls in some putts he will be in contention on Sunday.
Roy has quietly had a strong start to his second go-round on the PGA TOUR, opening the new campaign with two top-18 finishes across his three starts, which includes last week’s T17 effort in Mexico. Roy has the requisite skillset to handle a place like PGA National, as he simply never gets in trouble off the tee. The 34-year-old ranks No. 1 on the entire PGA TOUR in Total Driving so far in 2025, while sitting a very respectable ninth in SG: Off-the-Tee as well.
Roy played this event once back in 2023 and finished T29, but is playing way more consistent golf nowadays and is a legit threat to contend this week. If guys like Austin Eckroat, Chris Kirk and Keith Mitchell can all win here, best believe Roy could as well.
At just $7,200, both his upside and recent form are not reflected in the price.
In one of the stranger sneaker stories in recent memory, Jordan Brand has turned the polarizing Jordan Nu Retro 1 from the early 2000s into a golf shoe.
Editor, I only recently found out about the plan to expand the use of golf carts on the Monon and adjoining trails. I believe more residen
