Dom Mirocke was named Northside’s 21st head football coach.
Mirocke has 15 years of experience in Division I and II collegiate football and recently completed his second season as Arkansas Tech’s assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, and wide receivers coach.
This season at Tech, Mirocke coached Joyrion Chase to finish second overall among receivers in the Great American Conference with 43 receptions, 515 yards, and one touchdown. Three other receivers finished in the Top 15 with a combined 77 receptions, 1,148 yards, and seven touchdowns.
Fort Smith Public Schools (FSPS) has named Dom Mirocke the next head football coach at Northside High School. Mirocke has 15 years of experience in Division I and II collegiate football.
“We had a high level of interest in the Northside High School Head Football Coach position and were very blessed with the different candidates,” said FSPS Director of Athletics & Activities Michael Beaumont. “We have found an outstanding candidate, Coach Dom Mirocke, with expertise on paper and experience at the collegiate level, who will allow our kids to be successful at the next level.”
Mirocke has served as Assistant Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Wide Receivers Coach for Arkansas Tech University since 2023. Before that, he served as Assistant Head Coach at Henderson State University for six years. Mirocke has produced 11 All-Conference Wide Receivers and 2 All-Americans as a coach. Mirocke earned a Master of Science in Sports Leadership specializing in teaching and coaching from Southwest Minnesota State University and a Bachelor of Integrated Studies from Emporia State University.
“We are very excited to have Coach Mirocke and his family at FSPS and in FSPS Athletics and Activities,” said Beaumont. “We cannot contain our excitement for the Northside High School football program and the standard of excellence Coach Mirocke will bring.”
In his first season with Tech, Miroke helped engineer an offense that averaged just under 300 yards per game, with over 200 yards coming through the air. Mirocke comes to Tech from GAC-rival Henderson State, where he spent six seasons on the offensive side of the ball. Filling roles as assistant head coach, passing game coordinator, wide receivers coach, and recruiting coordinator at Henderson, Mirocke was a critical component to the potent Reddie passing attack that finished in the Top 3 in the GAC each season he was on staff.

I want to thank Chris Carter, Michael Beaumont, Jennifer Steele, Dr. Christopher Davis, and the search committee for allowing me this opportunity,” said Mirocke. “It is humbling and exciting to be chosen to lead such a historic and tradition-rich program, and I am thrilled to start this journey to help rebuild this program into a premier winner on and off the field. My family and I look forward to being part of the Fort Smith community.”
Mirocke, who heralds from Lee’s Summit, Mo., was a four-year letter winner and three-year starter at tight end for Emporia State University in Kansas from 2006-09. He received his bachelor’s of integrated studies with an emphasis in physical and health education at Emporia State in 2010. He completed his master’s in sports leadership at Southwest Minnesota State in 2012.
