CARLISLE, Pa. – The Dickinson men’s golf team returned to action on Monday at a soggy and very damp Carlisle Barracks Golf Club for the Dickinson College Fall Invitational. The Red and White had three different five-man teams compete on the day in addition to a pair of individual golfers.
“A” Team
Junior Collin McMahon-Shea was the lowest member of the unit on the 6670-yard, par 72 course posting an even par 72 to finish in a three-way tie for second. The duo of Will Carkhuff and Carl Williams carded identical four-over 76s, while Ryan Wheeler was two shots back at 78. Vincent Carr rounded out the unit with an 82.
“B” Team
First-year William Griffith was outstanding on the afternoon putting up another 72 for the Red and White, followed by matching 78s from Jackson Guy and Luke Vance. One stroke back of the pair landed Jake Goldberg with a 79. Sam Sieminski had a solid day entering the 19th hole by posting an 80.
“C” Team
A pair of first-years were not deterred by the inclement weather all afternoon as Chan Yoon and Jake Johnson ended the day on 73 and 74 respectively. Colin Vineberg finished with a 75, while Jack Poitras wrapped up at 78. Rocco Mastrangelo was the last Devil competing in this group finishing with an 82.
Individuals
Erik Schneider went one over par on the day (73), while Bo Concannon carded a 79.
Results
Timothy Peters of Division II Millersville University helped the Marauders to nab the team title with an outstanding round of 67, while his team finished up with a 292. The rest of the team standings were as follows: Dickinson “C” (300), Dickinson “A” (302), Albright and Goucher (303), Elizabethtown (304), Dickinson “B” (307), McDaniel “B” (310), Franklin & Marshall “B” (313), PSU-Harrisburg and Stevenson “B” (314), Rutgers-Camden (315), Muhlenberg (317), Juniata “B” (324), Southern Virginia “B” (326), Stevenson “C” (333), Eastern and Washington (336) and Lycoming (361).
