The Curlin colt went four furlongs in 49.8 seconds, eighth-fastest of 13 at the distance.
Owned by Bridlewood Farm, Don Alberto Stable, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, Elayne Stables 5 and Robert LaPenta, Journalism was an $825 purchase as a yearling. He won the Grade 2 Los Alamitos Futurity last out, and Daily Racing Form reported that he is pointed to the San Felipe (G2) on March 1 for his next start.
Unraced Cornucopian fired a bullet Thursday at Santa Anita. The Into Mischief colt went four furlongs in 47.0 seconds at Santa Anita for trainer Bob Baffert. Cornucopian, 66-1 in Vegas futures, was a $1.1 million yearling purchase by SF Bloodstock, Starlight Racing and Madaket Stables.

Cornucopian (Into Mischief) worked four furlongs in 47.0 seconds at Santa Anita on Thursday morning. It was the fastest of 13 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita. He has yet to make a start.
Filoso (City of Light) worked four furlongs in 49.6 seconds at Palm Meadows on Thursday morning. It was the slowest of four works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed sixth in the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 30 for trainer Chad Summers.

This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the Los Alamitos Futurity (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Los Alamitos on Dec. 14 for trainer Michael McCarthy.
Cyclone State (McKinzie) worked four furlongs in 48.4 seconds at Palm Meadows on Wednesday morning. It was the second fastest of 12 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the Jerome going one mile on the main track at Aqueduct on Jan. 4 for trainer Chad Summers.
Naughty Rascal (Rogueish) worked six furlongs in 1:13.6 at Tampa Bay Downs on Tuesday morning. It was the only work at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the Pasco going seven furlongs on the main track at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan. 11 for trainer Gerald Bennett.
