Gaming, most recently third as the favorite in the Grade 2 Los Alamitos Futurity, earned a bullet at Santa Anita, covering five furlongs in 58.6 seconds. Citizen Bull, working for the fifth time since winning the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, did five furlongs over the same course in 1:00.6.
As of Sunday Citizen Bull was the joint fifth choice in Las Vegas at 28-1, lengthening from 20-1 a week before. He closed at 16-1 in the second Kentucky Derby Future Wager pool at Churchill Downs. Gaming, 21-1 in that most recent KDFW pool, was also 28-1 in Las Vegas as of Sunday.
