Journalism, winner of the Grade 2 Los Alamitos Futurity in his last start, worked Saturday morning at Santa Anita. The Michael McCarthy trainee went five furlongs on the dirt in 1:01.0. He has been working regularly since late January, and is currently nominated to the Grade 2 San Felipe on March 1.

Journalism remains toward the top of the Kentucky Derby markets. As of Sunday he was 30-1 at Caesars Sportsbook in Las Vegas. In the fourth Kentucky Derby Future Pool through Churchill Downs, he was 19-1 when it closed Sunday.

Filoso (City of Light) worked six furlongs in 1:13.9 at Palm Meadows on Saturday morning. It was the only work at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going five furlongs at Palm Meadows. In his last start he placed sixth in the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 30 for trainer Chad Summers.

Incentive Pay (Volatile) worked four furlongs in 49.2 seconds at Payson Park on Saturday morning. It was the second fastest of 61 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Payson Park. In his last start he placed third in the Hopeful (G1) going seven furlongs on the main track at Saratoga on Sept. 2 for trainer Chad Brown.

Kale’s Angel (Complexity) worked five furlongs in 1:00.0 at San Luis Rey on Saturday morning. It was the third fastest of 13 works at the distance. Keep It Easy (Hard Spun) worked four furlongs in 48.7 seconds at Gulfstream Park on Saturday morning. It was the 37th fastest of 115 works at the distance.
