The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office raids an illegal gambling site located at a house in a rural community.
The illegal gaming operation was located inside a storage shed on a residential property.
Deputies seized over a dozen illegal gaming machines — cash — a firearm — and made one arrest during the raid.
Fifty-three year old Jaser Khalil of Selma was charged with promoting gambling and 17 counts of possession of a gambling device.
“We just want people to know if you’re involved any kind of way, I don’t care if you’re transporting machines. I don’t care if you help set up the machines, I don’t care if you put them behind your house, rent a place out or rent a business out, we’re going to charge you,” said Sheriff Mike Granthum.
Khalil is being held in the Perry County Detention Center on $110,000 dollars bond.
