Defending champions Coco Gauff and Novak Djokovic headline the preliminary entry lists for the 2024 Cincinnati Open.

The initial entrants for the Aug. 11-19 tournament include each player in the Top 40 of the world rankings, led by WTA No. 1 Iga Swiatek and ATP No. 1 Jannik Sinner.

The event is the biggest warm-up for the U.S. Open which runs Aug. 26-Sept. 8.

“We are excited to welcome an elite field to compete for the Cincinnati Open title this August,” said Bob Moran, President of Beemok Sports & Entertainment. “There have been so many intriguing storylines throughout this season, which will certainly continue over the coming weeks through the Olympics and into the Cincinnati Open. Gauff and three-time Cincinnati Open winner Djokovic will look to defend their titles in fields that include former Cincinnati Open winners Victoria Azarenka (2013, 2020), Grigor Dimitrov (2017), Caroline Garcia (2022), Madison Keys (2019), Daniil Medvedev (2019) and Alexander Zverev (2021).

The entries also include this year’s Grand Slam tournament champions: Australian Open winners Aryna Sabalenka and Sinner, French Open champions Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz, and this past weekend’s Wimbledon winners Barbora Krejcikova and Alcaraz. Sixty-five of the 87 preliminary entries are also entered in this summer’s Paris Olympics.
