ST. PAUL, Minn. (KEYC) – Employers in Minnesota added the most jobs in more than two years in the month of August acccording to data released by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development Thursday morning.
14,400 jobs were added in August, the largest monthly increase since July 2022.
Minnesota’s unemployment rate sits at 3.3% compared to the national average of 4.2%.
DEED says the top sectors to gain jobs were Leisure & Hospitality with 4,300 jobs, Education & Health Services with 4,200 jobs and Professional & Business Services up 3,900 jobs.
