Philanthropist and cricket supporter Dave Narine, of Dave West Indian Imports (USA), has given Everest Cricket Club’s pavilion and hall rehabilitation project a boost. On Wednesday, Narine launched the club’s renovation fund with an initial donation of $500,000.
The cheque was presented to National Player Richie Looknauth at Everest Cricket Club’s pavilion, marking the official start of the fundraising initiative. The launch comes just days ahead of a grand bingo event set for tomorrow, which will further support the renovation efforts.
The rehabilitation project, which carries an estimated cost of $20 million, is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2025. The initiative is vital to Everest Cricket Club’s wide-ranging programmes that promote the development and well-being of its members.
