TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The College of Southern Idaho hosted its annual Basketball Bash on Tuesday for a first glimpse at the men’s and women’s basketball teams and the cheer and dance squads.
On the court, both teams played an intrasquad scrimmage before hopping into a three-point competition.
The fans were fantastic and created an awesome atmosphere for the players.
“It felt awesome being in front of the fans for the first time tonight. I did not expect to see that many people,” freshman guard Kysa Shippen said. “The community here is so nice, I haven’t seen that before so I really like it here.”
Next up was the dunk contest where Jalen Lyn, Nathan Ahner, Isaac Hawkins, and Brandon Oloumou competed.
Hawkins, the sophomore forward would come out on top featuring a dunk over two of his teammates.
“I had a little plan on what I wanted to do but just winged it, “Hawkins told KMVT. “It was fun. The fans were hyped and then the teammates got hype and stuff like that.”
