One of the world’s most popular fitness franchises is coming to Augusta in 2025.
Crunch Fitness plans to open one of its newest exercise studios in Augusta Exchange at 221 Robert C. Daniel Jr. Pkwy., the former location for a Bed, Bath and Beyond store.
Crunch Fitness franchisee Fitness Ventures LLC will operate the $5 million, 40,000-square-foot Augusta facility, the company said in a statement Wednesday.
Crunch Augusta will offer cardio and strength training equipment; power half-hour circuit training; personal training; a dedicated group fitness studio; Olympic lifting platforms; cycling classes; an indoor turf area for high-intensity interval training workouts; suspension training; tanning; HydroMassage bed; Kids Crunch babysitting; and a sauna.
Founded in 1989, Crunch Fitness has grown its brand into more than 400 locations in America, Puerto Rico and five countries.
Crunch Augusta will be Fitness Ventures’ 60th U.S. location and its fifth location in Georgia. In all, Georgia has 10 Crunch locations, the closest ones being in Athens and in Columbia, S.C.
Fitness Ventures plans to open 10 more locations across the U.S. next year.
“We are excited to bring the Crunch brand to Augusta,” said Fitness Ventures CEO Brian Hibbard. “Crunch is for everyone, from the first-time gym-goer to the seasoned athlete.”
