Edgy Nails 512

Owned by Lauren Valdez, the beauty salon offers a variety of nail services including gel manicures and pedicures, acrylics, nail art and more. The salon’s esthetician services include full body waxing and brow services.

Lightspeed Restoration of Austin

The family-owned business serves the Austin, Buda, Driftwood, Kyle and Manchaca areas with water damage restoration, fire restoration, disaster recovery and air duct cleaning. Owner Jonathan Friedman and his family decided to open Lightspeed Restoration of Austin after Texas’ winter storm in 2021.

The salon is owned by Kyle locals Trang Phan Davenport, who goes by Jenny, and her husband Tony Davenport. Starfish Nail Bar will offer manicures, pedicures, waxes, nail enhancements and nail art.

Jimmy John’s

The sandwich chain offers a variety of sandwich and wrap options as well as sides like chips, pasta salad and potato salad.

Roxie’s

The owner of The Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood will open a new concept inspired by his grandmother, Roxanne, and her recipes. Roxie’s, a family-style dining spot, will open at Buda Mill & Grain Co.

Anniversaries

EVO Entertainment

The entertainment venue in Kyle celebrated its 10th anniversary in November. EVO Entertainment opened on Nov. 21, 2014, and features movie theaters, event spaces, bowling lanes, a restaurant and bar, an arcade and more.

Mavericks Dance Hall

The dance hall and live music venue celebrated its 5th anniversary in late November. Mavericks first opened in Pflugerville in 2012 and expanded to Buda for its second location in 2019. Mavericks Dance Hall offers live music, a dance floor, community events and more.

GRGT Fitness

Owned by certified personal trainer Jeremy Jacobs, Get Right, Get Tight Fitness will celebrate its 5th anniversary in February. Jacobs opened the business out of his garage in 2020 and said he has enhanced the space with new equipment throughout the years. GRGT Fitness offers personal and group training, body composition training, injury rehabilitation and more.
