ALBION, Ind. (ADAMS) – Black Pine Animal Sanctuary’s very popular ‘Cricket Karma’ fundraiser will return this year. Anyone can name a cricket or several, which will be fed to one of its animals. Reps say crickets should be named for someone you don’t quite care for … saying it should be “someone who annoys you the most.”
The organization says to participate in the fundraiser, all you have to do is send a donation and name the cricket. The staff will feed the crickets.
Black Pine Animal Sanctuary provides refuge to displaced, captive-raised exotic animals for the rest of their lives.
The organization says the event raised over $3000 in 2024. This year, it says its goal is at least $5,000.
EVERYONE is chirping about Black Pine Animal Sanctuary’s upcoming Cricket Karma fundraiser this Valentine’s Day! Last year’s event was a real treat, raising almost $3000 for the Midwest’s ONLY multi-species animal sanctuary accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.
