The midway point of the season is rapidly approaching, and many fans across the league are enjoying the struggles so far in 2024 of both the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys.

Both the Niners and Cowboys entered this year projected to be contenders in the NFC, and so far they have been anything but. Dallas comes into Week 8 just a game out of last place in the NFC East, while San Francisco is in a three way tie for second place in the NFC West, but due to tiebreakers is in last place in the division.

In spite of their struggles so far in 2024, the 49ers are favored by 5.5 points at FanDuel Sportsbook, with the over/under at 47.5. Everybody hates the Niners, and would love to see them head into the bye on a nice little two-game losing streak. Unfortunately, the Cowboys under Mike McCarthy are simply a bad football team with a bad defense, and Kyle Shanahan has a chance to get Brock Purdy and the 49ers offense back on track against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Expect San Francisco to win and cover the spread, but expect the under to hit because the Dallas offense has been almost as bad as its defense so far this season.
