LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Coty Clarke claimed the Championship Flight of the 20214 Central Virginia Women’s Golf Tournament after two days of competition.
Clarke trailed Lindsie Arthur by one stroke after the first day at Winton C.C., but roared ahead in the final round at Ivy Hill, shooting a final round 75 to take the win by 7 strokes. Arthur finished as the runner up, while former CWVGT champ Carmela Tardy finished three strokes in back of Arthur.
Erica Bottoms won the first flight with a two day score of 172, narrowly defeating Teresa Hudson by two strokes. Persis Tinsley captured the second flight.
In the Todd-Winks Division, Tate Clubreath, outlasted Nancy Campbell and Brenda Jordan in three rounds of a sudden death playoff, after the golfers tied with a two day score of 163.
