RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) – A town in Duplin County has been selected to be a new operations base for a cabinet manufacturer.
Governor Roy Cooper says NexGen Cabinets will open its new east coast operation facility in Wallace. This comes after a $6.7 million investment creating 42 new jobs.
“Our resilient workforce, affordability and quality of life are among the top reasons manufacturers are locating to this region of the state,” said Cooper. “We’re glad NexGen made the decision to locate Duplin County.”
According to the release, NexGen will be manufacturing kitchen and bathroom cabinets for multifamily markets in North, Central, and South America. This new location will be the company’s first facility in the American southeast with a 150,000 squarefoot space for assembly, production, and distribution.
