LOS ANGELES – Reaction to the death Saturday of Miguel Aguilar outside one of the Self Made Training Facilities has been of sadness.
The company on its Instagram saying, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our founder and CEO Miguel Angel Aguilar who was also a sports influencer.
Police said it was September 13 on the 11400 block of Thurston Circle that four armed suspects allegedly followed Aguilar and his wife to their West LA home.

TMZ reports, “they tried to take Aguilar’s Rolex and that’s when he was shot in the face.” TMZ also reports “Aguilar had a gun but it looks like he didn’t fire any shots.”
Police say three of the suspects were eventually arrested. One died from wounds he received during the attempted robbery. It’s not clear how that happened.
As gym goer Josh Cappo was leaving the Hollywood location, he talked of his love for the people at that location and added,
“It’s really a shame especially a young, successful, had-everything-going-for-him kind of guy, ya know… so it’s really a shame.”

The District Attorney’s office has filed multiple charges against the three suspects – charges that include Murder, Attempt Murder, Attempt Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
