The Colorado Buffaloes were in the thick of the Big 12 conference race last season.

Can they remain a Big 12 title challenger in the upcoming season?

How many wins will the Colorado football team get in 2025?

Here’s an early game-by-game win-loss prediction for the Buffaloes for their 2025 schedule, beginning with a home game against Georgia Tech on Aug. 30 and concluding with a road game against Kansas State on Nov. 29.

The Buffaloes will also host Delaware, Wyoming, BYU, Iowa State, Arizona and Arizona State this season. They will also play at Houston, TCU, Utah and West Virginia looking to improve on their 9-4 overall record and 7-2 Big 12 record in 2024.

Aug. 30: Georgia Tech at Colorado

Georgia Tech will provide a good early test for the Buffaloes, who went 5-1 at home last season. They’ll get off to a good start at home in 2025.

Game prediction: Colorado 31, Georgia Tech 20

Colorado record prediction: 1-0

Sept. 6: Delaware at Colorado

Delaware is coming off an impressive 9-2 season, but it didn’t face any team with talent similar to Colorado.

Game prediction: Colorado 45, Delaware 21

Colorado record prediction: 2-0

Sept. 13: Colorado at Houston

Can Colorado open Big 12 play with a win on the road? This game could be a thriller, with the Cougars eager to improve in 2025.

Game prediction: Colorado 28, Houston 27

Colorado record prediction: 3-0 (1-0 Big 12)

Sept. 20: Wyoming at Colorado

The Cowboys are coming off a 3-9 season. Colorado should be able to top off a perfect non-conference record with a big victory at home.

Game prediction: Colorado 41, Wyoming 23

Colorado record prediction: 4-0

Sept. 27: BYU at Colorado

These teams faced off last season in the Alamo Bowl, and it wasn’t much of a contest in the Cougars’ 36-14 win. We expect a much closer result in Boulder, Colo.

Game prediction: BYU 31, Colorado 27

Colorado record prediction: 4-1 (1-1 Big 12)

Oct. 4: Colorado at TCU

This game could end up being a pivotal one for both teams with the edge going to the home team.

Game prediction: TCU 35, Colorado 31

Colorado record prediction: 4-2 (1-2 Big 12)

Oct. 11: Iowa State at Colorado

The Buffaloes never lost more than one game in a row last season, but this isn’t last season. Iowa State comes into Boulder and hands Colorado a third-straight loss.

Game prediction: Iowa State 27, Colorado 24

Colorado record prediction: 4-3 (1-3 Big 12)

Oct. 25: Colorado at Utah

Colorado had Utah’s number last season, beating the Utes in Boulder, 49-24. Utah will be much improved in 2025, but Colorado can still win in Salt Lake City.

Game prediction: Colorado 38, Utah 30

Colorado record prediction: 5-3 (2-3 Big 12)

Nov. 1: Arizona at Colorado

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are gone, but the Buffaloes will probably still be able to put up points this season, especially at home.

Game prediction: Colorado 35, Arizona 21

Colorado record prediction: 6-3 (3-3 Big 12)

Nov. 8: Colorado at West Virginia

Colorado gets to take its first Big 12 trip to Morgantown. It’s not a short one. The Buffaloes will lose all of their momentum in the air.

Game prediction: West Virginia 27, Colorado 21

Colorado record prediction: 6-4 (3-4 Big 12)

Nov. 22: Arizona State at Colorado

These teams last played in 2023 in Tempe as members of the Pac-12, with Colorado getting a 27-24 win. We expect Arizona State to repay the favor in Boulder in their first matchup as Big 12 rivals.

Game prediction: Arizona State 42, Colorado 38

Colorado record prediction: 6-5 (3-5 Big 12)

Nov. 29: Colorado at Kansas State

The schedule makers didn’t do the Buffaloes any favors with the Sun Devils and Kansas State Wildcats to end the season. Kansas State could be playing for a chance at the Big 12 title game and it will show.

Game prediction: Kansas State 35, Colorado 27

Colorado record prediction: 6-6 (3-6 Big 12)
