The Big 12 was subject to multiple upsets in Week 5 of the college football season.
The biggest, in terms of difference in rankings, came Saturday night as unranked Arizona upended No. 10 Utah 23-10 in Rice-Eccles Stadium, dropping the Utes from the ranks of the unbeaten. But they weren’t the only previously undefeated teams to suffer their first loss in Big 12 play on Saturday.
Colorado, which got a Heisman Trophy-esque performance from Travis Hunter, dropped UCF to 3-1 on the season with an impressive 48-21 victory in what was arguably the Buffaloes‘ most complete victory of the season.

Elsewhere, in the only ranked meeting of the day, No. 25 Kansas State handily beat No. 20 Oklahoma State 42-20, helping erase the bad taste of a 38-9 defeat the week prior to BYU.
