What’s at stake: The Hurricanes avoiding a chaotic mess of missing the ACC Championship Game.
Right now, SMU is the only conference unbeaten in the ACC. However, despite Miami and Clemson both being tied with a lone league loss, the Hurricanes own the common opponent tiebreaker since they beat Louisville and the Tigers lost to the Cardinals. Everything changes if Miami loses again as a favorite at Syracuse, though. Unfortunately, Miami and Clemson will not meet head to head. And if the Tigers win out and Miami loses once more, then it’s Clemson-SMU in Charlotte with a playoff berth on the line for the winner.
